If you’re running app install campaigns on Facebook, the latest news about Apple’s LAT (Limit Ad Tracking) setting may have you worried. In addition to problems with attributing installs without  a valid IDFA (Identifier for Advertisers), you also now have to worry about the long term impact on your bread and butter Facebook app install campaigns.

In case you missed it, here’s the scoop. With iOS 10 installed and the LAT setting activated, a user’s IDFA  is now blank--yes that’s right--all zeros. Prior to the release of iOS 10 in September, turning on LAT just prevented retargeted ads being shown. With this latest turn in events, Facebook is now unable to show any kind of ads to those users. They are effectively gone from the audience pool.
